Printmaking Workshop with Jade Lees-Pavey
9th / 16th / 23rd May 2020
1 – 4pm
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is for anyone who is curious about printmaking, who might not have had any exposure to the craft other than a Secondary school art class, or for those who want to refresh their skills after time away from the art form.
What to expect.
Over the 3 weekly sessions you will carve and print 2 different images, using the linocut / relief printmaking technique, and print onto paper. During the workshop different finishing techniques will be discussed and practised such as hand colouring and 2 plate printing.
At the conclusion of the 3 weeks you should be able to confidently continue the practice at home.
Why Lino Printing?
Relief printmaking is a great way to enter the amazing world of Printmaking. It is an accessible art form, easily managed in the home studio or at the kitchen table. Minimal tools are required for carving plates and printing by hand keeps it low tech without reducing the beauty of the art form.
The first 3 people to purchase First Dibs tickets will receive a 3D mini printing press in their Printmaking Kit.
Location: Le Studio Art Space,
